Preparing For Hospice Care: We Can Help!

According to the Hospice Association of America and the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization, an estimated 1.65 million people received hospice services in 2011, and Hospice care may even prolong the lives of some terminally ill patients.

At Compassionate Assistance, we know that transitioning with a loved on to Hospice can be overwhelming and difficult to handle. At Compassionate Assistance, we are here for your support. While we are not a medical provider, we do offer support for families and individuals receiving Hospice Care. If you or a loved one is preparing for Hospice Care, here is what you should know, and ways we can help.

We Can Provide Support:

At Compassionate Assistance, we are here to serve you and your family when you need us most. We understand that providing hospice care at home can be exhausting, both physically as well as emotionally on the family members. Sometimes Hospice is not enough for family members who are primary caregivers when they need some relief time. We are here to help. Our caregivers provide personalized care to help you or a loved one live well.

There are many different types of support that we can provide, but a few of the most common that coincide with hospice are:

– Companionship

– Meal Preparation and Feeding

– Overnight or 24-Hr Care

– Assistance with Transfers

– Bed Bath or Shower Assistance

– Medication Reminders

We partner with you to create a care plan that you feel comfortable with. Our mission at Compassionate Assistance is to enable individuals to live independently and with dignity in their own home, while at the same time, providing the highest quality of care. You can have peace of mind that your loved one is receiving the support and care they need and deserve.
