Caring for Seniors At Home: The Benefits
At Compassionate Assistance, we are here to serve you and your family when you need us most. We provide personalized care to help you or a loved one live well where most seniors prefer: at home. Our mission is to enable individuals to live independently by elevating the standard of in-home senior care. We also want to give their loved ones peace of mind knowing that your loved one is being taken care of by a trained and compassionate caregiver. Here are some of the benefits of choosing in-home care as an option for seniors.
Preferred By Seniors:
Most seniors prefer to stay in their homes as long as possible, making in-home care the preferable choice. Many people at this stage of their life can not, or do not want to admit that they are not able to take care of everything they need to on their own. Taking them out of their home and their routine can be very traumatic for them. Allowing seniors to continue to live in a place where they are comfortable as well as continue with their routine and hobbies can not only be good for their health, but keeps their quality of life high. All of our caregivers provide companionship to clients, and come to help them with their life and routine, not disrupt it.
Great Caregivers:
At Compassionate Assistance, we have very high standards regarding who we hire. We value quality over quantity, which is why we only hire people who are motivated, experienced, energetic, and passionate about delivering compassionate care. All of our caregivers meet the following requirements:
- 50 State Background Check
- Pre-Employment Drug Screening
- 2+ Reference Checks
- CPR & First Aid Certification
- Negative TB Test
- Proof of Valid Car Insurance
- Valid FingerPrint Card
In addition, all of our caregivers are bonded, insured and background checked.
Increased Availability:
We are never closed. Our goal is to provide you will the best care possible, and that means we are here for you and your family 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. This standard goes for our caregivers as well. Through the ClearCare app, you can view your care schedule and see what time the scheduled caregiver checked in as well as if certain tasks were completed. We are here to serve you and your family, a job we take too seriously to ever be “off the clock.”
We offer hourly care, overnight care, 24-hour awake care and live-in care. Awake care means just that. Caregivers rotate every 12 hours to ensure you are provided the best care by energized and awake staff members. During live-in care, caregivers rotate every 2.5 days, and sleep at the residence.
Specific Services:
We provide many different types of services so that we can provide for the unique needs that each of our clients has. Listed are some of the services that we offer to our clients:
Companionship- One of the most important types of care that we offer is companionship. We take pride in becoming close friends with our clients and in bringing happiness to their lives.
Medication reminders- Medications can be difficult to manage but are extremely important. Our highly trained team of caregivers are careful to ensure the right medication is taken at the right time.
Transportation-Being able to get outside gives our clients a greater feeling of independence and can improve their mood. Caregivers can provide support for clients by taking them to doctor’s appointments, the grocery store, or anywhere they need to go
Personal care- We can provide help with day-to-day activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, eating, exercising, and other services, allowing clients to stay independent in the comfort of their own home. Our caregivers can also help with light housekeeping duties like bed-making, vacuuming, laundry, sweeping, dusting, and general household organization.
Meal prep- Meal preparation is also an important part of continued care. From shopping for necessary supplies to cooking meals, our caregivers encourage a healthy diet for our clients.
