How To Take Care of Your Loved One With Alzheimer’s At Home

At Compassionate Assistance, we are here to serve you and your family when you need us most. We provide personalized care to help you or a loved one live well where most seniors prefer: at home. Our mission at Compassionate Assistance is to enable individuals to live independently and with dignity in their own home. We strive to do so by elevating the standard of in-home senior care to improve the long-term health, safety and happiness of individuals.

One of the greatest needs of an Alzheimer’s client is emotional support and genuine social engagement. Our caregiver can provide these things, exerting a positive emotional influence on the life of the client.

Create A Routine

In order to ensure your loved one’s health and happiness, our caregiver will create a routine specifically designed for the client’s personal needs. A scheduled routine will minimize any potential frustrations the client has with their day-to-day tasks by providing structure. We offer hourly care, overnight care, 24-hour awake care and live-in care. Awake care means just that. Caregivers rotate every 12 hours to ensure you are provided the best care by energized and awake staff members. During live-in care, caregivers rotate every 2.5 days, and sleep at the residence.

Specialized Care

Compassionate Assistance will tailor and focus individual care on the patient and their personal needs. We will provide them with options to ensure they feel some freedom, and will remain flexible with what they may require. Compassionate Assistance personally chooses the right caregiver for your loved one in order for the client to feel as comfortable as possible. We can provide help with day-to-day activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, eating, exercising, and other services, allowing clients to stay independent in the comfort of their own home. Our caregivers can also help with light housekeeping duties like bed-making, vacuuming, laundry, sweeping, dusting, and general household organization.

Provide Options

We will provide options for your loved one. We will not confine them to a set way of living, rather, we will take a look at the individual and their likes and dislikes, and offer options to let them live their life without excess limitation.

Cooperation

We make sure at Compassionate Assistance our workers and staff cooperate and collaborate with the client’s family, and exercise patience with them. Especially in a time that can run high with emotion, our employees will offer the best of quality care. We are proud of our ability to provide quality companionship. We take pride in becoming close friends with our clients and in bringing happiness to their lives.
